Peter Andre’s former lover has claimed that he still loves his ex-wife Katie Price.

Former page three girl Maddy Ford enjoyed regular sex romps with the ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer for three months but says that he repeatedly talked about Katie and her new husband Alex Reid.

Maddy told The Daily Star:

“I just don’t think Pete was in the right state of mind or ready for another relationship.

“He certainly seems very preoccupied with Kate and talks about her such a lot.

“There are definitely certain things he is not over. When Kate got married to Alex, Peter said it was the best closure he could have hoped for.

“But I don’t know, I just think it’s all still very raw for him.”

She added: “He made reference to her a lot. We would talk with our mutual friends about the ongoing dramas of what he said and what she said and all the court cases and what was going on.

“It’s been really difficult for him because when you’re trying to get over someone you don’t want to talk about them all the time.

“But I suppose he has to because every day there is something in the media about them and there is constantly stuff he has to tackle.

“So in a way I felt sorry for him. I just think that he’s so confused and doesn’t know what he wants.”

“I’m not a jealous person at all but I did think it was strange sometimes.”

Last night a spokesman for Peter said: “Peter does not love Kate any more.

“He will always care about her because she is the mother of his children but they have both moved on.”
