Made In Chelsea: Richard Dinan’s new co-star girlfriend, Ianthe Cochrane, says she is not a typical Chelsea girl!
With the new series of Made In Chelsea on Monday night came some new cast members for us all to work out, which may be trickier than you think, as Richard Dinan’s new girlfriend, Ianthe Cochrane, insists she is not your typical Mad In Chelsea kind of gal!
Monday saw the introduction of three of Jamie Laing’s friends, Sam Cussins, Andy Jordan and Stevie Johnson, with Andy in particular causing quite a stir by hitting on Louise Thompson, resulting in him being quickly warned off, twice, by a very territorial Spencer Matthews.
Also introduced in Mondays premier episode was Richard Dinan’s new girlfriend, Ianthe Cochrane. Ianthe seemed very reserved on Monday’s episode, which was surprising, as we reported earlier this month how Ianthe, who was one of only two girls to join the new cast for series four, had previously revealed that in one of her very first scenes she can be seen having a very heated argument with co-star, Hetty!
Ianthe admitted at the time that this disagreement came as a massive shock to her, and has now revealed she isn’t like the other girls in the show!
Ianthe Cochrane-Stack, a model and fashion student, began dating co-star Richard after he ended his brief romance with former MIC star, Kimberley Garner back in June, and was then signed up to the show shortly after when Kimberley was sacked from the show for a violent outburst at co-star, Harriet Louder.
Ianthe, who met Richard while she was working on the Alan Carr show, spoke to the Mail Online to explain what makes her different from all the other Chelsea babes!
“Richard and I started dating and he offered for me to come on the show and I thought it was the ideal opportunity to could kick-start my career and open doors.
On her already lucrative modelling career, she commented: “I do commercial stuff, it is quite classy. I would never do glamour modelling, I don’t have the physique, I have small boobs!”
However, the leggy blonde bombshell insists that she still enjoys the simple things in life, unlike some of her spoilt co-stars, and is not interested in Richard for his money or extravagant lifestyle, explaining:
“I am not a Chelsea girl, I have never lived there. I have got a good head on my shoulders and I am sensible.
“Richard knows I’m not flashy.
“I would honestly rather sit in and have a Chinese than fly in a helicopter, we often have a take-away together on a Sunday night.”
And despite her run in with Hetti, Ianthe insists that she is getting on fine with the rest of the MIC cast:
“I love Binky, Cheska and Ollie, they are so friendly and we all go for dinner all the time. I was worried at first that they wouldn’t like me but they were so welcoming.
“Millie is really nice too, but I guess you never really know what has been said behind your back,’ she added.
“Hetty is the only person I have really disliked, I never got along with her and it’s a clash of personalities but I don’t think it will be shown on TV.”
When asked about Kimberley, Ianthe replied cagily:
“I want to meet her but from what I’ve been told it’s probably a good thing I haven’t.
“I’m not sure if she is coming back to the show but I don’t think she would succeed in causing problems even if she did.’ said Ianthe.
Not likely, we think she may have actually met her match in you Ianthe!!!
Of course, all this harmony will soon come crashing to a Made In Chelsea end, as there is one new character we have still yet to meet, Spencer Matthews ex, Sophia Sassoon!
Made In Chelsea can be seen Monday nights at 10pm on E4.
