Made In Chelsea’s Louise Thompson: “I Still love Spencer!” (Really, you hide it so well!)

Someone seriously needs to take Made In Chelsea‘s Louise Thompson to one side and explain to her the definition of desperation!

Thompson, who was at the centre of a hate storm after cheating on her boyfriend, Jamie Laing, with his best friend, Spencer Matthews on a recent trip to Dubai, has come out and publicly declared that she still loves Matthews, again!

Thompson, who used to date Matthews before beginning her relationship with Laing, defended her decision to cheat and leave Laing broken-hearted by going public with Spencer hours after they returned to the UK, with Matthews apparently right by her side.

However, after only a few weeks the pair had split up, a mutual decision according to Thompson, who insisted it was simply the right thing to do.

Now, if this was, as many believe, a publicity stunt on Thompson’s part to curb the abuse she was getting, it would seem that it has seriously backfired as, literally days later, it was announced that Matthews was to take part in the hugely popular channel 5 dating show, The Bachelor.

Since then Thompson has told anyone who will listen how she knows he will not find true love on the show, in which he has the pick of 15 girls all competing to be his girlfriend, as he still loves her and that they are even secretly still an item.

Speaking in a recent interview, Thompson said of the situation: ”Officially, we aren’t together, but I won’t get with anyone else.

“We may not be together in a physical sense, but that’s only down to the fact that he isn’t allowed to see me when he’s filming. But we’re still speaking everyday and I still love him.”

However, she then went on to say how she will have to accept if he does find himself a new girlfriend on the show, which she is none to pleased about him starring in, and finally move on.

”Ordinarily, I’d never let my boyfriend do ‘The Bachelor‘, but he’d already signed the contract before we started going out, and I’d never make someone choose me over their career move.

”Now he’s started filming, I’m finding it difficult. Hearing his voice on the phone is hard, and I’ve tried to persuade him not to be in it, but it’s too late.”

“That’s the way the show works and if he does end up with someone he really likes, then he’ll inevitably sleep with her. Then I’ll have to fully move on.”

Hilariously, Thompson then went on to slate the girls on the show, claiming they were desperate to be competing for his affections (at least they stand a chance of being picked love!), and how that some of them worked in strip clubs so were basically nothing compared to her.

She told Reveal magazine: ”I ask Spencer what he’s been up to. I know he’s kissed some of the girls but i think it’s unlikely he’ll fall in love with one of them. By the sounds of it, I don’t have much to worry about at all. I think a couple of them work in strip clubs.”

“You don’t go for a girl who’s obsessed with you, vying for your attention and probably making a fool out of herself. Spencer says he’s not the kind of person who’ll find someone he likes out of just 24 girls.”

And if all this wasn’t cringe worthy and embarrassing enough for the channel 4 reality star, she added as a footnote (probably aimed at Channel 5 producers we think) that she would do “The Bachelorette if I got paid enough”.  We wouldn’t recommend holding your breath whilst waiting for that call, Lou!

We can’t help but wonder what sort of damage all these claims are doing the channel 5 show as the rules clearly state that The Bachelor must be single (the clue is in the title really), and wonder how many fans of the show won’t be tuning in to see a sham dating show knowing that The Bachelor is reportedly chatting to his girlfriend every night.
