Holly Hull from Camberley has been crowned the winner of My Camp Rock, Disney Channel’s brand new TV talent contest inspired by the smash-hit original movie Camp Rock. 14 -year-old Holly Hull beat stiff competition from thousands of kids across the country to go head-to-head in a Final Jam on the channel to decide the winner. She was awarded the trophy by multitalented teen sensation and star of Camp Rock, Demi Lovato, who also performed her new single La La Land as part of the show. Holly Hull wowed viewers with a mesmerizing performance of This Is Me, she competed against fellow finalists Jessica Hammond, age 15 from Belfast, Reece Cook, age 11 from Lowestoft, Suffolk Abby Timms and Lucy Jennings, age 16 /15 from Birmingham. It was then left to Disney Channel viewers to decide on the winner by casting their vote at www.disneychannel.co.uk.

Holly Hull will now go on to release her version of the Camp Rock track, This Is Me on iTunes on Monday 11th May and create their own music video, which will broadcast to millions on Disney Channel on Friday 1st May at 5.55pm.

My Camp Rock winner, Holly Hull says: “I can’t believe that thousands of Disney Channel viewers voted me as the winner of My Camp Rock. Meeting Demi Lovato was the best experience ever and made the Camp Rock dream a reality. I can’t wait to watch my very own music video on the channel. I’ve enjoyed every minute and feel incredibly fortunate.”

Demi Lovato, also in town to launch her new album Don’t Forget and Disney Channel series Sonny With A Chance, says: “I’m excited to be back in London and it has been an honour to present Holly Hull with her prize. Holly showed she has what it takes to rock the stage but all the acts are extremely talented and everyone should feel very proud of their achievements.”
