Nikki Grahame at Celebrity Scissorshands. 15th November, 06
My admiration for Nikki has grown so much since watching Celebrity Scissorshands in the early hours of the morning on BBC1. (It is being repeated Thursday, rather Friday at 2405, not to be missed)
A tanned Nikki arrived all smiles and friendliness, looking wonderful after her holiday in Dubai, anticipating her much needed massage, to rid her of the stress of travelling. She greeted all with a big smile and friendly chatter.
Whisked off for her stone massage by Darren Day, who was absolutely wonderful, kind and gentle, where the two seemed to get on very well as they chatted away through the massage, intercepted by giggles from Nikki. The SHOCK was still to come as she moved on for her manicure. A very mean Steve delighted in antagonising Nikki, making fun of her in the training room and telling her he was going to give CUT her beautiful long hair.
Nikki was horrified and begged him not to touch her hair. These novice ‘stylists’, having had less than two weeks of training, slip into the training room, throughout the lengthy cuttings, for advice on how to go from stage to stage through the styling. Darren, in the training room, asked how anybody could possibly want to come to them for a hair cut.
Back to Nikki we found Steve and Lee Stafford, with a ‘trust me’, putting heavy pressure on Nikki to have her hair cut. ‘Nikki this is for the Children in need’, ’don’t be a wimp’ (more politely put by me), brandishing scissors, sneaking up behind her and waving a long length of hair, supposedly cut off her head while she was unaware. Enough to send anyone into hysterics but Nikki just put her face in her hands, peeped out with pleading and despairing eyes, trailed off to have her hair shampooed by Darren and shed a few tears, begging Steve to just go home and leave her alone.
She was assured by Lee that he would not let her go home unhappy but she whimpered ‘I am already unhappy’. Sweet Darren told Nikki not to upset herself, very gently and she replied ‘I am already upset.’ The bullying came to an end when Steve, after Nikki told him she liked him and loved the A team, admitted it was all a wind up.
Why is everyone so cruel to Nikki, deliberately winding her up and then, if she does have a tantrum, they are over the moon because they have something to winge about. Leave our Nikki alone!! Her one liners and facial expressions were brilliant. The massage should have been kept for after the ordeal. Darren was lovely and I hope he becomes one of the 5 stylists chosen for the styling of the celebrities’ hair on ‘Children in Need’ night.

You’ve got to be quick to keep up with Nikki. Glad you found Nikki eventually on Celebrity Scissorhands.
In the live feed, which was reminiscent of Big Brother because of the sound dips (!) Nikki had fun with Darren Day, Ortis Deley and Jan. It only turned mean when Lee Stafford started his campaign to ‘make’ Nikki have a hair cut but Nikki kept her head and her hair in tact and escaped their machinations.
If only the editing of Princess Nikki had been left in the hands of the CH editor maybe then we’d have seen some fun and more laughter along with some distress. Will anyone relent and allow us to see the rock group episode or will it be doomed forever to remain unseen because Nikki enjoyed herself?
Did you notice that Linda Lusardi came into the salon today and no one made her have her hair cut.
Yesterday when I watch it I was getting more and more annoyed at their constant bullying of her and when she did get upset it was like ‘job done boys’.
Then today in the highlights Steve said to a customer ‘did you see Nikki on yesterdays show, she was awful’ or something like that and the customer said ‘oh I heard about it – she must put that on’.
God – this girl cannot win. Whoever had the idea to pull the joke – they are just trying to destroy her good character. She was really polite and did not have a tantrum. She only had tears when she was having her hair washed and truly believed they were going to cut all her hair off. I believed they were as well.
How come not one other person has had to endure this treatment. Shame on you producers.
I would also like to mention that Steve’s friend was going to come into the salon but she would not have Steve cut her hair.
I did like Steve and I thought he was amusing but he did say some horrid comments in the staff room to the other celebs about Nikki but luckily they did not get drawn in.
Scott Mills was nice to Nikki in the salon, I think trying to stick up for her, but on his radio show later he said ‘oh my god Nikki had a proper strop in the salon, you must watch the show’.
In the words of Nikki – I just don’t get it.
All I want to say is WHERE IS HER AGENT. DO YOU JOB PROPERLY.
Nikki’s hitting the headlines for being on Celebrity Scissorhands so I think her agent is doing a good job.
Anyone watching the programme could see it’s not Nikki who’s unusual for not wanting her hair tampered with and Steve’s the Stange one as he tries hard to get a grip of his scissors. Bet there’s lot of celebrities who are just like Nikki and wondering if Steve will be one of the chosen few to go through to the night of Children in Need. No doubt there’s been a flurry of hairdressing appointments made with their own hairdressers before the big night. Just in case!
Yeh, but dont you think all the anti-nikki fans just love this constant – nikki has tantrum – rubbish. It just gives them a platform to shout from.
Where is there one bit of good PR for Nikki. Why doesnt her agent ever say anything.
I thought seeing the whole thing live – she refrained from getting stroppy. She was very polite and just laughed and joked most of the time whilst still saying no way.
I think she felt there was no way out and then got upset. I bet Steve will be picked on Friday just because he is Steve and I wonder which lucky celeb gets to have the wonderful Steve experience.
I bet the celebs are having contracts drawn up to get out of it as we speak. HA HA. This one is on you Nikki. I bet they wont be so polite behind closed doors, but we wont get to see that, surprise surprise.
I agree with you that Nikki is often painted blacker than she is but with Nikki being on BBC for Children in Need it’s all exposure for her to a wider public.
I’m just back from my hairdressers – honestly – and the first thing I asked the girl who shampooed my hair and my hairdresser was had they been watching Celebrity Scissorhands? They both couldn’t say yes quickly enough. The shampoo girl without mentioning anyone else said Nikki, the girl from Big Brother was on the other day and before she was able to finish my hairdresser continued with he’d only had two weeks ‘training’ and shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near as it had taken her three years before she had qualified.
Neither of them mentioned any tantrum and I know for a fact that my hairdresser who’s in her twenties doesn’t watch BB as she’s told me that previously. It was clear from how they bubbled over with what they said they were both on Nikki’s side so Nikki’s getting exposure and must have gathered a whole new range of fans not least amongst some hairdressers!
I have often wondered where Nikki’s agent was. During Princess Nikki to protect her against the abuse suffered and letting us know in advance when she would be appearing on TV and where her public appearances would be. If any of her fans find out anything, please let us know here and we can spread it around in every way possible. Such a pity to miss any of her appearances as there are not nearly enough. Come on Nikki’s agent please get her back onto TV, with her own talk show. She is a gold mine.
Does anyone know Nikki’s real name, is it Nicole Beth Grahame?
Cressida – But wouldn’t it be nice if there were headlines like – NIKKI’S A GOOD SPORT AFTER BEING STICHED UP ON CHILDREN IN NEED.
But I must admit the more negative exposure she get the more people will respect her for holding her head up and keeping her dignity. She really is trying to control her feelings.
There are many fence sitters, people who really dont have opinions about other people, but when they see someone, who does not deserve it, constantly get ridiculed in the press they then become interested and then make an opinion and often support that person wholeheartedly. That is what I have become.
Its amazing that I was never a fan of her at the beginning but when the kept on talking about Pete and Lisa as an item I thought, even from the first few days, that Pete liked Nikki. I could just tell.
She gradually grew on me when I could see her vulnerable side and her incredible honestly. Since the breakup and the way she has handled it with such maturity I am now a huge fan and I have never been a fan of anyone before, well not to the point of joining any forum and voicing my strong opinion. I sometimes think I am mad as this is completely out of my character. If my mum knew she would have me put in the funny farm. (She hates BB).
Hi BIGNIKKIFAN
The only one who held my interest in BB was Nikki and more and more as the weeks wore on everyone else just seemed like a bit part player to her major role
I think Nikki’s something of a puzzle to lots of people including some journalists but I’m sure circulation goes up whenever there’s a story about her so they make sure she’s never out of the news. The newspapers capture two audiences with their headlines – those that like her so we can be indignant and those that don’t because they’re able to think Nikki’s at it again.
It’s all publicity for Nikki and fodder for us so hopefully one day we’ll be reading something positive about Nikki but just how long we’ll have to wait for that I don’t know. Evelyn’s doing a good job and who knows who reads and digests what we all write on here??
I must admit I did go on a bit on the other forum about a certain paper saying they were boring and to give her a break. They haven’t done a story about her since then so maybe people power does work and you never know who reads these threads.
I have not bought the Sun or DS for ages now and that is my stand. Maybe sales have dropped because we are all thinking the same.
But if I hear once more about Nikki having a tantrum I shall just scream. But we all know that if she says no a few times that is classed as a tantrum. She is worth more than that and even if she does get stroppy so what it hardly a crime.
But like you said she is gaining more fans daily because of this so indirectly she is coming out on top.
Did you hear the old man in the salon telling Nikki that he has been following her story, that she always looks pretty in the papers and well done by taking England by storm. Who would have thought a tiny, blond, insecure girl could create such fascination.
I wonder what Pete really thinks about this?? Just a thought.
Oh my god did you see the show tonight. That girl at the end. She had really long hair and he just butchered it. That could have been Nikki if Steve had got his hands on her hair.
Thank god she stuck to her guns.
AND STEVE HAD A STROP BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER DIDN’T LIKE IT AND HE WOULDNT EVEN APOLOGISE OR EVEN SPEAK TO HER.
WHOS A ‘SPOILT BRAT NOW’ MR STRANGE.
\
LEE HAD TO SORT IT OUT. POOR GIRL. I HOPE NIKKI GETS A BREAK AND PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHY SHE REFUSED.
AND SCOTT MILLS – TWO FACED OR WHAT!!
It must have been very hard for Nikki (Nicola Rachel Beth Grahame) to have seen Peter getting engaged to Cherry but at least she knows now that she was not dropped for a casual flirtation. That special someone is out there for her. Why have we not seen more of Nikki??? She should change her agent.
Nikki’s keeping busy and it’d be good to see her back on the tv screen soon where we can all see her.

BIG BROTHER babe Nikki Grahame is well and truly over Pete – and has nabbed herself a new fella to prove it.
The tantrum queen has hooked up with her non-celeb personal trainer Matt Drew.
Matt told Reveal magazine: “Yes, I am seeing Nikki. It’s early days but we are having a fantastic time together. I think she’s a fantastic girl.
Nikki met Matt before going into the Big Brother house when she used to go for work-outs at his Ruislip gym.
The pair were spotted recently with their hands all over each other at London’s trendy Pangaea nightclub.’
