There are some things in life that are so inconceivable, that when you hear about them, you just think, “Mate that’s funny because it’ll never, ever happen…”

Well just now, I’ve had one of those moments upon reading that Kerry Katona is to be transformed into “a refined lady” for a new reality TV show.

Historically of course, Kerry has attended the opening of an envelope if there’s a fiver in it for her and a page 32 headline, and by the sounds of it, her signing up for this new show is a similarly desperate attempt to re-launch a career that’s always had ‘The Titanic’ written all over it.

The show is apparently presented by David Gest – he of the frankly inexplicable face – who will provide Kerry with etiquette lessons…

Described by TV Guide as “a new fall-on-the-wall comedy” David will reportedly enlist the help of various celebs, including Janet Jackson and Toni Braxton, to help him in this endeavour.

The show will be filmed in Los Angeles and Liverpool. No prizes for guessing which city Kerry will be filmed in.

A source told the Sunday Mirror, “On paper this is one of the weirdest programmes anyone has ever heard of, but David knows what it takes to make a hit.”

TVG adds, “David is producing the project through his own TV company and a number of broadcasters have shown an interest in the as-yet-untitled series.”
