Fans of One Direction are used to queuing for hours upon hours to catch the merest glimpse of Harry Styles, Liam Payne – who has a broken toe; more on that shortly – Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

But some are more determined than others to get as near to the boys as possible…

And one fan in Toronto proved particularly determined to meet the boys, and proved it by hiding in a bin for four hours! However, once she was discovered, the boys’ security men moved in swiftly to remove her.

Speaking to the Mirror, Zayn said, “They got busted. They hid in a bin and tried to come in the back entrance.”

And a source close the lads added, “The methods fans are using are getting more ingenious…

“Some have been regularly booking out rooms in their hotel – some even tried to dress up as staff.

“But the boys’ minders won’t be letting any of these tricks get past them. They’ll look in every bin if they have to.”

Getting back to Liam’s injury, as mentioned above, he’s got a broken toe, poor lamb! His band mat Louis let slip about it while the boys were appearing on Good Morning America last week.

He said, “Liam’s actually broken his toe and nobody knows.”

And Liam added, “I broke it about a week ago now. I dropped a MacBook Pro on it, which is not a very exciting story at all.”
