One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson is only 20 years old, but he’s showing he has a wise head on his young shoulders by investing some of his – admittedly rather massive – wealth on bricks and mortar.

And not just any old pile of bricks and mortar either as it’s been reported he’s splashed out £2.5million on a trendy pad in an exclusive area of Chelsea.

His purchase of the four-storey luxury home – which boasts five bathrooms – makes his band mate Harry Styles’ £575,000 flat seems like slumming it by comparison.

A source close to Louis told The Sun, “Louis’s purchase may seem extravagant but it’s a safe investment.

“The property is relatively new and given its location it is unlikely to lose value…

“He’s got his head screwed on so he will keep it in good nick.

“Louis isn’t the sort who’ll throw a house party and let his friends wreck the place.”

The paper adds that in addition to the five bathrooms – so all the 1D lads can have their own when they come visiting – the house has six bedrooms, four reception rooms, a swimming pool, spa area, games room and a landscaped garden.

I wonder if he wants a lodger?
