Xtra Factor co-host Olly Murs may well be a heartthrob in his own right – gotta say, he makes bit of me throb – but sadly for him, he’s not topping the heartthrob-o-meters of San Diego’s teenaged girls, who positively wailed for One Direction at the Viejas Arena yesterday!

Olly and the 1D lads, Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn are of course touring the states together, and right after the gig, they jetted to Las Vegas where they’ll perform tonight before heading off to Phoenix and San Jose.

And the Daily Mail today reports that when he arrived at the arena, Niall was seen clutching a mini acoustic guitar, and it has been rumoured that he may play it on stage at some point during the current tour.

The paper adds, “Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were both spotted inside the venue but looked tired and miserable as they prepared for another night of performing…”

O bless ‘em.

And as usual, the lads’ tour bus was veritably swamped by a sea of manic screaming and crying girls, who were all trying to grab a hold of, or get pictures of, the 1D boys.

However, one fan who was in the audience did manage to get some footage on her phone of leg end Olly performing before the 1D boys went on.
