Almost 5,000 girls showed up to watch Louis Tomlinson play football last night but apparently not everyone at Keepmoat Stadium, was pleased to see the One Direction star on the pitch.
Louis made his debut for the Doncaster Rovers Reserves Team at a home game against Rotherham last night and when he joined play in the second half, the crowd erupted into deafening cheers.
Tommo managed to ignore the screams and the chanting, though we think the noise must have been pretty off-putting to the other footballers, as every time anyone so much as approached the Little Things singer for a tackle, they were booed and jeered at.
Louis faced his own share of jeering too and some Donny fans were less than impressed to see the star joining their team.
Amongst the cheers there were plenty of boos too and after the match, as the X Factor star left the pitch one livid fan shouted:
“You little s**t!”
We can understand now why he didn’t hang around to sign autographs etc.
Tweets from detractors included:
“Hope that Louis Tomlinson lad breaks his leg tonight and never plays again! He is an insult to every professional player who’s worked hard!!”
“What a tool Louis Tomlinson is. Plays for Donny then makes a hasty exit when the match is over. Nice way to piss off your teenage fans”
Tomlinson managed to ignore the worst of it and after the game he tweeted fans saying:
“Wow what an incredible experience . Can’t put into words how I feel 🙂 I will never forget pulling on my own Doncaster Rovers shirt !!”
Really can't thank the team, the gaffer and every single person involved at Doncaster Rovers enough ! I feel like a 10 year old again !

“And obviously a huge huge thank you to everyone who came down 🙂 a real credit to our fans 🙂 hope it was a good day out !”
Louis was supported last night by his family and at one stage during play, his sister was mobbed by eager Directioners who noticed her walking by.
His girlfriend Eleanor Calder was spotted at the venue too, however she hid out in the box and tried her best to avoid the cameras.
Some eagle eyed fans managed to get a snap or two though.

None of Louis’ bandmates showed up for the game.
Louis match ended with a score of 0-0 last night and even if there had been goals, he probably wouldn’t have scored them as he was kept in defence, back beside his own team’s nets.
