The One Direction lads are set to embark on their brand new stadium tour pretty soon and they had some exciting news to announce yesterday…

It has been revealed that 5 Seconds of Summer will support the group on their North America leg of the tour, and Niall Horan is SO excited about playing stadiums.

The lads have been there and done that when it comes to arena’s around the world. This time, it’s all about selling out stadiums, and it’s going to be pretty epic…

Speaking about the announcement, the Australian band said that they are “soooo excited to be supporting the 1D lads” on tour in the USA and Canada later this year.

The band added that supporting 1D last year helped them take their band “to places we never even dreamed possible” and they can’t wait to play new music and rock it out in STADIUMS in North America and Canada, before adding that it’s going to be “EPIC” – they didn’t need to tell us that, we’re already hyped.

By now, you’d have thought that Niall Horan would have been able to keep his excitement under control, but it doesn’t look like he has been able to.

Following on from the announcement that 5 Seconds of Summer will be supporting them, Nialler took to Twitter to reveal how excited he is to be playing “f’in stadiums”.

He tweeted: “Ahhhhh yessssssss!! @5SOS are opening for us again! TMH was great fun! But dudes we’re playing f’in stadiums! Agggghhhhh !”

It seems like Niall isn’t the only one hyped about the tour either as Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to say he “can’t wait” to have the 5SOS lads on tour with them again.

Following on from the announcement yesterday, 5 Seconds of Summer band member Luke Hemmings tweeted to say that he is “super excited about everything that is happening” for the band, adding that he’s “very grateful” for the opportunities the band has been getting.

One Directin will kick off their Where We Are tour in South America on April 25 before moving to the UK on May 23, starting in Dublin.

In the UK, the lads will take on the likes of Croke Park in Ireland, the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and London’s Wembley stadium.

But, the 5SOS lads have got some time to prepare for their big gigs as the North America leg of the tour doesn’t kick off until August, 2014.
