It’s been reported today that when One Direction return to the UK from their current tour, band member Louis Tomlinson will be spending some time with Britain’s Got Talent finalist Ryan O’Shaughnessy in order to collaborate on a new track.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Ryan said, “I’ve been speaking to Louis out of One Direction on Twitter, and he said he’d like to write a song with me, so we will do that soon.”

He added, “I love getting to know somebody new and writing something from scratch.”

Ryan’s first single ‘No Name’ – which he of course wrote for 19 year old Katie Lucia Keegan – will be released by RCA Records on August 5th, but we have a look at the song’s official video for you after the jump…

‘No Name’ did of course strike a chord with the nation when Ryan performed on Britain’s Got Talent, and though initially reluctant to name the girl on whom he had such a crush, it was of eventually revealed that it was Katie, but she evidently wasn’t swayed into a romance by his gesture, and the two are still “just friends.”

However, of his forthcoming album, and ‘No Name’, Ryan said, “My mini album is out soon but this is the song that everyone still wants to hear.”

Before Katie’s identity was revealed, Ryan said, “I’ve always been very close to the person it is written about and I’d rather have friendship than nothing.”
