One Direction, Take That, The Who, Spice Girls, Ed Sheeran, Queen, Russell Brand & Kate Moss to close the London 2012 Olympic games
The lineup of this year’s Olympic ceremonies is supposed to be a closely guarded secret but leaked documents have revealed some of the big named stars who have been booked to perform at both the opening and closing of the games.
Some of the biggest, most famous and most legendary British stars are on the bill it would seem and insiders have claimed that audiences around the world will be wowed by a spectacular two hour long closing ceremony, which will feature Take That and The Who along with a whole host of other musical acts.
The Daily Mail have claimed that joining the iconic bands on stage will be Ed Sheeran, Spice Girls and One Direction, along with comedian Russell Brand, a number of British models including Kate Moss and the remaining members of Queen.
The whole thing will end with the Olympic Stadium being lit up by a a huge fireworks display on August 12.
Other supposed highlights of the evening will include performances from Madness, The Pet Shop Boys, Annie Lennox and Ray Davies. Jessie J, Kaiser Chiefs, Fatboy Slim and Elbow are also said to have been at recent rehearsals for the concert.
It sounds like this is going to be a few fun filled weeks for London residents and of course, the whole thing kicks off with the opening ceremony this evening, which also promises to be celebrity filled and talent packed.
