Niall Horan is one of the more low key members of One Direction and apparently there is method behind his madness!
While some of his bandmates are heading to showbiz parties, going skiing with other celebs, or hanging off the balcony of high rise apartment buildings, the furthest he seems to go it to his local football club to catch a match.
Niall’s pal Eoghan McDermott revealed that the star tries his best to stay out of the public eye and admitted that the constant invasion of privacy when he does go out ‘annoys’ him greatly.
McD thinks his pal can cope with the attention if he has to, but whenever possible he tries to avoid it all.
The Little Things singer hit out at paparazzi last year after one tackled him to the ground as he arrived at LAX airport. He lashed out at impostors who were pretending to be his parents on Twitter last month and it’s said he is even forced to date in private, because of the hate all the band’s girlfriends receive.
The Voice Of Ireland presenter Eoghan told Thestar.ie:
“The odd thing will annoy him if it’s relentless.
“But Niall’s not really a man about town, like the way Harry [Styles] would be.
“Niall keeps it more low-key with that.
McD said if the star does go out, he tries his best to fly under the radar and while he may not invest in disguises as such, he really attempts to keep it all very low profile where he can.
“He can get around with the cap on and the hood up and be unnoticed if he tries hard enough,” Eoghan added.
Niall was spotted at Chelsea Football Club earlier this week and its been reported that he’s receiving physiotherapy treatment, as he recovers from recent knee surgery.
The star heads off on tour in April of this year and will want to be jumping about on stage like the rest of his bandmates.
Eoghan hopes he’ll be well enough in time and continued:
“He’s down in Chelsea, so he has the best people in the world looking after him.”
We reported earlier today that Niall is reading up to three self help books every week to try to overcome his claustrophobia and frequent panic attacks.
Let’s hope he has the knee and the psyche sorted by the time his One Direction bandmates all arrive back in the UK, refreshed and ready to go!
