Original Castaway Trish Prater Warns Against Reality TV

Trish Prater, an original participant in Castaway 2000 has spoken to the Sunday Mail today, warning people who want to appear in a reality TV show, to consider their future very carefully before attending that audition.

Trish makes some fabulous points about the shift in reality TV shows and their casting process, and states:

“Reality shows now pick people in a different way. The more wacky you are, the better.

“They push the boundaries all the time. Look at Jade Goody on Big Brother. She wouldn’t have lasted on Castaway. She would have stormed off.”

Trish has some very striong views on the new Castaway show due to air on the BBC, and believes that 3 months on a warm New Zealand island can in no way compare to her experience of a year on a remote (and cold) Scottish Island.

Trish will be kindly doing an interview with us here on Unreality TV later this week, so watch this space!
