I bet it’s cos 15 year olds will be doing GCSEs and they don’t wants to disrupt that. I’m missing out by 3MONTHS!!! I nearly cried…

It’s probably because thats when either the actual show or the TV finals start (most likely the show) and if you’re under sixteen your gonna need a licence which, as you said, schools won’t grant permission for because you’d be doing GCSE’s.

And the one with no brain?Simple-Katie Price.Or is that the Wicked Witch? Is this another giant plug for a Webber musical?

  5. The ideal young lady for the role of Dorothy in the “Wizard of Oz” would be Laura Blundall of Crymych , North Pembrokeshire . She is in her early twenties and graduated from Trinity College, Carmarthen recently. She has just starred as Calamity Jane in Opera Teifi’s amateur [ but professional standard] Autumn production of that name in Theatr Mwldan , Cardigan[ check it out ] . She was an OUTSTANDING Calamity Jane, with the rasping , aggressive “butch” voice as well as the sweetest soprano singing. Her comedic acting and vitality were superb. Her renderings of “Whip Crackaway” and “The Black Hills of Dakota” were faultless. This girl can REALLY ACT………AND SING!! The ideal Dorothy!!

She starred with Gwyn Morris , who played Wild Bill Hickock . Gwyn, a leading man with Opera Teifi for years , is EASILY West End Standard. He has won the bass solo at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and appeared with several choirs who have won several times in the National and Llangollen Eisteddfod. They have sometimes beaten “Only Men Aloud”.

Gwyn Morris normally sings baritone, and appears in concerts and eisteddfodau all over Wales. He has a record on the FFLACH label , singing both solo[ note his “If I were a rich man !” and duets with his friend , tenor, Robert Jenkins.
Check out Gwyn Morris and Robert Jenkins on the Fflach Label, Cardigan , Wales………..and watch out for Laura Blundall ….a great talent ….the IDEAL Dorothy !!

Hi i’m old enough to enter (i’m 17 in Feb) but i’m kind of unsure whether i should. I love musical theatre, and i’ve always wanted to play dorothy, but i’m studying for my A-levels at a fab school right now,and i don’t want to jeapodise them… I sing mezzo and have a really powerful voice… (i have a youtube channel – beltingtokra)
does anyone know the audition dates? If i haven’t got an exam at that point i’ll probably enter but i’m not sure :/
    Thanks guys :D
