Peter Andre has revealed the reasons behind his recent emotional breakdown on Sky News. Claiming that it wasn’t Katie Price’s marriage that pushed him over the edge, Peter wrote in his new! magazine column:

“I was crying because after showing me some footage of Dwight Yorke saying how disrespectful it was of me to want to adopt Harvey, Kay asked me how I’d feel if Alex wanted to adopt my children.

“I really wasn’t expecting her to go down this route and I admit it completely threw me. My kids are my life and the thought of someone taking them away from me is my worst nightmare.

“She really hit a raw nerve and I just lost my composure. As I said on the show, I would die for my kids and if I had it my way, I’d be with them 24/7.

“As for Harvey, I shouldn’t have to defend how much I love that child.”

Peter also admitted that he wasn’t at all surprised when he heard that Katie and Alex had married in Las Vegas.

“I know it sounds a bit weird, but I was more shocked when Michael Jackson died than I was about this!”

He explained: “I really don’t have anything to say about it because, firstly, I don’t know anything else about it, and secondly, my only concern is the kids.

“If they’re happy, I’m happy. And as long as they have good influences around them, I can’t complain.”
