Peter Andre may have had a bit of a breakdown on national TV, but he insists that his emotional state was nothing to do with the fact that his ex had just got remarried. In fact, he claims he is glad that Katie Price is now Mrs Alex Reid.

“I wasn’t upset because of the wedding, absolutely not,” Pete told The News Of The World. “To me it was the best closure I could have asked for.”

“Once she became Mrs Reid it’s not my business anymore. I stepped away from the circus a long time ago. Whatever is to do with the kids will be my business.”

Peter also explained exactly why he ended up in tears during his recent interview with Kay Burley saying:

“Watching a video of Dwight Yorke having a go at me on TV, which I was totally not prepared for, triggered off an emotion.”

He went on: “People were coming up to me today saying, ‘Just think the best thing to come out of this marriage is two lovely children. I said, ‘No, three lovely children.’ That is the way it is. I love Harvey very much and always will.”
