Peter Andre’s sadness over brother Andrew’s illness and death revealed in his ITV2 show (VIDEO)
Fans of singer and reality TV star Peter Andre will of course know that his ITV2 show was pulled from the schedule following his brother Andrew’s death from cancer.
However, last night, Peter gave permission for an episode of his show – My Life – to be aired which featured Andrew talking about his illness and sharing a family get together shortly before he was hospitalized in London as his cancer spread.
The poignant episode of course featured Peter talking about his beloved brother, and fans saw Pete discussing the fact that Andrew had at one time been given the all-clear, but just weeks later, the cancer was back and had worsened…
However, the show featured Peter vowing to do his best to honour his commitments while spending as much time with Andrew as possible, however, when Andrew’s condition took a turn for the worse in the first week of December, Peter cancelled his gigs and rescheduled dates for his tour.
At the time, Peter said, “We’ve got to pick ourselves up and just get on with it…
“There’s nothing we can do now. We just have to leave it in the hands of the doctors.”
Andrew of course passed away on December 16th in London’s Royal Marsden hospital, with his family by his side.
One of the most poignant scenes in last night’s show featured the aforementioned family get together during which Andrew raised a toast to Peter…
He said, “Can I take this opportunity to congratulate you and wish you the very best.
“I’m the only one that’s not seen my brother on tour so it’s a great opportunity to see the full tour.
“I’m excited for that.”
Visibly moved, Peter replied, “All we want is for you to get better.”
