Police officers have insisted that they must investigate the reccnt rape claims made by glamour model, Katie Price.

Last month Katie claimed that she had been raped and just last week revealed that the culprit was a fellow celebrity. Although she has sworn not to reveal his identity, police have said that it’s not going to be that easy.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman told The Sun: “No report of rape has been made to police. Officers have spoken to her, they will be following lines of inquiry.”

But a senior cop said: “Jordan has not officially reported a serious sexual assault to us, but has put it in the public domain.

“We as a force take rape seriously. If she says she’s been raped we have a duty to investigate if a crime did indeed take place.

“Rape is not a complaint you make lightly and we have a duty of care to a potential victim to substantiate those claims and take appropriate action.”
