Project Catwalk: Red Carpet Dress For Myleene Klass
This week the remaining five designers are presented with a pop star client and a real Royal challenge.
Musician and presenter Myleene Klass sets them a challenge of creating a show stopping red carpet dress for her forthcoming appearance at the Royal Albert Hall.
With such an important challenge ahead of them, the designers are lucky enough to get some inside tips from a successful red carpet dress designer, and designer to Myleene- Kyri, but they are up against the clock to decide on the colour combinations and order the sumptuous silk fabrics to complete their designs.
With the pressure mounting the designers struggle to stay on schedule: Wayne hates his dress, Monika’s drab colour selection causes concern with Ben and it’s no surprise that Luke has set himself a rather challenging task. A last minute request from Myleene causes havoc in the studio when the designers are required to create an extra garment to compliment the dress. Shawla seems to have it all in hand until a couple of hiccups set her back.
To help them unwind, Kelly has organized a cocktail party for them back at the house. But it all reached dizzy heights as they decide to dress up as each other and Wayne reveals his impersonation of Shawla! The night is topped off with a surprise message for Luke, which causes mixed feelings among the group.
After a night of partying, the designers are not on top form for Catwalk day. Shawla and Luke struggle to meet the brief in the time allocated and Julien speaks his mind.
With torment & tantrums and stunning creations on the catwalk this is one show you won’t want to miss.
Judging the designers this week are top designer Julien MacDonald, style director of Grazia magazine Paula Reed, guest judge Myleene Klass and the host, Kelly Osbourne
Each week the budding designers face elimination based on how they meet the challenges set for them by the panel until only three remain. The three finalists will each showcase full lines on the catwalk and the winning designer’s garments will be photographed for top women’s magazine Grazia and will also receive the seed money to help them launch their own line.
This episode will air on Sky One on Monday 26th February at 9pm.
