Hell hath no fury like an angry chef, and no chef has a sharper temper than Gordon Ramsay when things go wrong in the kitchen. Now Gordon has taken Kitchen Nightmares across America, giving some of the worst restaurants Stateside a wake-up call they’ll never forget.

Lela’s is a fine dining restaurant in Pomona, California, run by inexperienced owner Lela and young chef Ricky. The fatal combination of her ineptitude and his arrogance has resulted in a business so rocky that it’s about to close down for good. Gordon’s recipe for rescuing Lela’s disastrous finances sets him on a collision course with the kitchen but also unearths darker problems with light-fingered staff. Can he put them back on the straight and narrow, or is Lela’s beyond redemption?
