Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA: The Secret Garden

Hell hath no fury like an angry chef, and no chef has a sharper temper than Gordon Ramsay when things go wrong in the kitchen. Now Gordon has taken Kitchen Nightmares across America, giving some of the worst restaurants Stateside a wake-up call they’ll never forget.
The venue for tonight’s programme is The Secret Garden, a romantic French restaurant in the heart of Moorpark, California, run by French chef Michel Bardavid. But business is far from bon in this Gallic outpost where Michel’s pompous, over-complicated cuisine is keeping the customers away. On the brink of bankruptcy, he needs drastic action to create a dramatic turnaround. But when Gordon advocates a radical revamp, he meets with total resistance from staff and owner alike.
As the relaunch approaches, Michel’s mettle meets the ultimate test. Will he swallow his pride, or reject Gordon’s lifeline?

Gordon, you’re an excellent chef but please, be sure your own restaurant is clean before giving lessons to others. Especially, when you said : “You will never see this in my restaurant.”

Hmmm… seems like you have an axe to grind ‘Gordon’s Fan’, as you’ve certainly done some digging. What exactly does 21 / 25 violation points actually mean?
I think we can confidently assume none of Gordon’s kitchens are comparable to the cesspool seen in that episode.
I think the multi-michelin star adorned chef can quite confidently put a 2-bit arrogant chef with a disgusting kitchen in his place, and after all, that’s why we watch the show.
Yet despite the entertainment value, he is there to help them because they’ve requested it, and his approach appears to work. Did you know that one of the restaurants he helped turn around on the UK version of the show subsequently earned a Michelin star?
