Is that wedding bells we can hear from the shores of all things Geordie?  Well, technically from Cancun, but it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it!

Geordie Shore‘s answer to Romeo and Juliet, Ricci Guarnaccio and Vicky Pattison have got engaged in front of the cameras of the new series of Geordie Shores: Chaos in Cancun.

The new series of the Tyne Side reality show, which is due to premiere on MTV on June 26th, sees the cast of Geordie Shores jet off to Mexico’s premier party hot spot, Cancun, for fun and frolics, Geordie style.  But, whilst viewers can expect the majority of the show to be bulging at the seams with drunken shenanigans of the gang as they tear up the resort, a few tender moments have been saved for some heartfelt romance when Ricci proposes to girlfriend Vicky in the hot Mexican sun.

Vicky, who only met her future parents-in-law a few weeks before this, accepted the proposal instantly, she gushed:  ”I’m so excited to be engaged to Ricci. He’s an amazing person and I knew that as soon as he walked through the door and into the house, there was an instant connection between us.”

Ricci, who met his new fiancée during the second series of Geordie Shores, added:  ”When I came into the Geordie Shore house I had been single for a long time and certainly didn’t expect to fall in love – but that’s what happened,”

“I couldn’t be happier with Vicky and know I want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
