TV presenters Richard and Judy are to follow in the Duchess Of York’s footsteps, and abandon their mansion for a council estate in the name of television.

Last night we saw Sarah Ferguson move into a B&B in a working class area so that she can help a family living on benefits, eat healthily and cheaply. For their Channel 4 show, Richard and Judy will leave their swish London pad to spend a week on the estate in Dewsbury, Yorks, to expose life on Britain’s breadline.

The Sun has reported that the husband and wife duo will be talking to local residents and contacting local councillors and MPs about the area.

A source said: “Dewsbury was ideal for the show but other estates could be suitable.”
