Russell Watson To Return On BBC’s ‘Just The Two Of Us’
The BBC reported:
Classical singer Russell Watson, who had a brain tumour removed this year, is to defend his title on the celebrity duets contest Just the Two of Us.
He will be one of nine professionals who are paired with famous faces when the BBC TV series returns on 2 January.
Ex-Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, cricketer Mark Butcher and actress Hannah Waterman are also taking part.
Sarah Brightman, Tony Christie, Wet Wet Wet’s Marti Pellow and Carol Decker of T’Pau are among those joining Watson.
The programme – presented by husband-and-wife team Vernon Kay and Tess Daly – will run for six nights.

You know this is one series I really don’t think they should bring back. Unless they intend to use undiscovered talent. Otherwise it is just more celebrities reviving their flagging careers.
Also, I think it is to early for Russell to be even thinking about singing after the trauma of brain surgery. He needs to spend time convalescing for his own sake. The extra flow of air that circulates around the outer membrane of the brain with singing could cause a seizure or rupture, its just not safe yet.
But telling someone who likes singing just that is like talking to a wall,especially when it is something they love doing.Theres no reason Russell couldn’t continue with his contemporary and pop music singing once he has thoroughly recovered.
