Secret Millionaire Cafe Closed

Charan GillA cafe that was given £15,000 by millionaire Charan Gill as part of Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire programme, was closed down last month due to its failure to pay its bills.

Its such a shame that after being given the lifeline by Charan, this business couldn’t survive. But I suppose it shows that any amount of money can be plunged into a business, but if its not a viable prospect it will just be a waste of resources.

I love this programme, i cry everytime i watch it.
only wish knew a secret millionaire who might see my own every day struggle. Yes i have a house (albeit council), but struggle with my everyday life. i have ME and depression, my hubbie is my carer, i have 2 beautiful boys. But money always tight, like today we have 50p until tuesday. No one seems to bother. all we want is to be able to live, and maybe pay things without worrying where money comes from.
Also admire these people as they have not all been born with a silver spoon in their mouth, they know what its like to struggle.
well done Ch 4. keep up the good work

The Secret millionaire is compelling viewing. The people who struggle to bring happiness and normality to the lives around them is admirable and the millionaires show that people with money do care and are not always looking for their next big payout. Please continue with this programme

    Dear

Having read the article about Mr Charan Gill’s generous contribution of £15000 I have every respect for him regarding giving a second chance to this person.

This quality is highly admirable amongst the rich people as they would not like to part with their money and help the less fortunate although they have so much money than they would ever need.

This is not to say that one should take advantage of the rich but giving somebody an opportunity to start their lives again is a rare quality.

On that note I was wondering if he could do the same for me if I discussed my idea of investing this money as my good nature and kindness has cost me and my family all our wealth and now I am being repossessed for saving my friend’s life to pay for her operations in the US.

As advised by my friends I approached various charities to raise this money but they all refused to help even with one pound! Hence I had to sacrifice my life savings and my families to keep her alive!

Without my financial assistance she would have died six years ago. Stupidly I have sacrificed my home and my family’s health. If anyone thinks I am fabricating this to get money for investment I have the receipts to prove how much money I have spent on her in these years.

I have spent approximately £260,000 for her to pay for her daily expenses as well as her expensive operations and now I am in huge debts with credit cards and mortgage companies. Her own daughter refused to give her one penny and wanted her to die. As a matter of fact she was really happy to learn that she has this rare brain disease!

In all fairness nobody else would have sacrificed all their wealth and family for her. Most of my friends told me to let her die but my humanity and Christianity did not allow me to think about my wealth and allow her to die.

My father has become very ill emotionally and physically knowing that I have spent all this wealth we had accumulated as a family. He is so ill that he has to see a psychiatrist. On that note I have a duty to repay them and make things right again before he dies.

I have been offered an opportunity in the US to make this wealth back and save my home at the same time. All I need is £15000 to start should Mr Charan Gill be kind enough to invest in me in order for me to start my life again.

However it is really sad the other person could not make a success of the Cafe.

Right now I live in poverty and humiliation as I owe all this money to the bank and credit card companies. Mr Gill’s kindness and generosity will help me to get out of this shameful situation.

In fact I am ashamed to ever ask for any money from anybody as I had all the money in the world and I blew it for a good friend out of fear of God and humanity.

If any member of my family dies, I have to end my life because of all the loss and grief I have caused my loving family. Again I have all the proof of him going to the psychiatrist because of me.

I cannot live with this guilt and have been ready to commit suicide after what I have put my family through emotionally and financially.

This woman has destroyed my life and also my families. So I have a duty to put things right for myself and my family should someone decide to help me.

I am pleading with someone to give me a second chance to rectify what I have done. Mr Gill’s assistance or anybody else in this world would be highly appreciated.I wish there were more people like Mr Gill in the world.

    Much Appreciations
