Selena Gomez is changing things up.

The former Disney star posted a picture of herself to Twitter this week, showing fans her new hairstyle, which she had implemented for a new movie role.

The brunette beauty was recently spotted at the Teen Choice Awards with long flowing hair, cut in soft layers around her face.

In the new picture she seems to have had the colour darkened somewhat and is now sporting a rather choppy fringe.

She tweeted

“new hair for a new movie I love changing my hair!”

We like the new style but can’t help thinking that she may live to regret it as those fringes take AGES to grow out and we speak from experience on that one!

We can’t help but wonder what her boyfriend Justin Bieber will think.

Selena is currently working on an action-thriller film titled ‘The Getaway’ with Ethan Hawke, Jon Voight and Bruce Payne.
