Sharon Osbourne has reportedly quit her judging role on America’s Got Talent after her son, Jack, was dropped from another show on the same network, NBC.

Jack, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, was set to take part in a reality show, Stripes Earn Stripes, in which celebrities take on military-like challenges, but was dropped from the line up just days after his diagnosis was revealed.

This prompted his fiery-red-head mum to voice her opinions very loudly, launching into a huge argument with NBC chiefs over the decision, according to the New York Post, during which she decided not to return to her judging seat on the highly popular talent show when it returns for its next series.

“I just can’t be fake, its discrimination and it was badly handled. It’s time to move on,” Sharon is reported to have said.

However, Sharon is still contracted to NBC, but this didn’t seem to bother her much as she reportedly blasted:

“All they can do is stop me being a judge on another network for five years.”

Meanwhile, a spokesman for NBC said, “We regret any misunderstanding and wish Jack well.”

Sharon doesn’t agree that there has been a misunderstanding though, as although Jack had not signed a contract to appear on the show, a verbal agreement had been made regarding his involvement.  Sharon also claims that Jack had received an email l from Chuck LaBella, NBC’s vice-president of talent relations, saying they were looking forward to working with him.

Despite this, a few days after Jack announced his medical condition, he received another email claiming that the network was now unable to “move forward” with his participation.

Show producer David Hurwitz has now come out and claimed that Jack was never hired but they had been ‘in talks’ with him over taking part.
