Alex Jones will join her ex-boyfriend Steve Jones on the hosting team of the 2011 series of Let’s Dance For Comic Relief.
The One Show presenter will be replacing Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman, who is now hosting Film 2011 for the channel.
On her big news Alex said:
“I can’t wait to join Steve and the team. It’s come at the perfect time for me having just returned from filming in Africa for Comic Relief where I saw first-hand how we can really make a difference.”
Jones added: “I’m really looking forward to working with Alex on this year’s show. We’ve got a great lineup and I can’t wait to see the performances – I’m anticipating an exciting, flamboyant and ridiculous show!”
With no set judges, the panel will feature a selection of comics and former contestants, with JLS and Jessie J lined up for live performances on the show.
Comic Noel Fielding, former GMTV host Penny Smith, Thick Of It star Rebecca Front, TV designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan and comedians Russell Kane, Andi Osho and Ed Byrne will compete in the series and will have to perform routines to songs including Beyonce’s Crazy In Love, I Love To Boogie from Billy Elliot and Michael Jackson’s Bad.
