*Apologies for earlier confusing post stating the final week was in July. It’s not… I got two stories mixed up into one. Again, my apologies. So here’s the updated post…*

It seems that we’re in for “surprises aplenty” to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the hugely successful show.

Channel 4 has announced that the housemates will encounter “shocking and unexpected” events during the week-long anniversary celebrations which start on Monday July 13th.

In their press release, Channel 4 said of the week-night shows, “Catch up on all the latest goings-on in the house.

“In the week of Big Brother’s tenth birthday, there’ll be surprises aplenty to celebrate a decade of the most talked-about TV programme of the noughties”.

And for the eviction night on Friday July 17th, they say that “a host of extravagant surprises” are in store for us and the housemates.

The 9pm show’s synopsis reads, “It’s the eviction night of Big Brother 10. Join Davina McCall as she announces the results LIVE and direct into the house.

“And in the week of its tenth anniversary, you can be sure that Big Brother will have a whole host of extravagant surprises in store for housemates and viewers.

“Plus highlights from the past 24 hours in the Big Brother house.”

And the 10.35pm show is going to be, “an evening of birthday surprises.

“The second part of eviction night will see Big Brother celebrate ten years with some shocking turns and unexpected excitement.”

It’s already been rumoured that all the previous nine winners will go into the house for just one night but that hasn’t been confirmed as Channel 4 are keeping tight lipped about what they have in mind for the anniversary week.

I didn’t know this series was so short? I thought it went on until end August or beginning September not 17th July? That’s gutting!

Hey Lynn, can you please clarify

I’m confused by your comment that this series of Big Brother will end on July 17

Is this correct or did something get lost in translation?
