The Apprentice 2012: Azhar Siddique thought Jade Nash should’ve been axed instead of him

Azhar Siddique became the latest person to be fired by Lord Sugar on the The Apprentice, and although Azhar reckons he “doesn’t hold grudges”, he also thinks Jade Nash should’ve been axed instead of him.

While speaking to The Sun and the PA, and claiming that Lord Sugar “made the wrong decision” in firing him, Azhar added, “I’m disappointed. I definitely thought Jade should have gone,

“I think a lot of the team saw me [as] more of a threat because I know how business works.

“I started my own business and I know how to make money. I’m the most credible person in the process.”

But Azhar added, “I don’t hold grudges, but business is business. And in business, sometimes people have to make the right decisions and Jade made the wrong one, and Lord Sugar as well.”

As fans of the show will know, each team had to purchase wholesale products, then sell them at a profit and go on to reinvest in the most popular stock…

Team Sterling – which was led by Nick Holzherr – came out top with total assets of £955.20, while Team Phoenix, which was headed up by Jade, only managed £838.21.

Azhar, who was chosen by Jade to face Lord Sugar in the boardroom, along with Tom Gearing, blamed team leader Jade for the ultimate failure.

He said, “We didn’t have any strategy in place and that’s why we lost. We played things based on Jade’s decisions.

“I’ve grown a multimillion-pound industry and I’ve got the experience. But I think the others didn’t listen because I was too technical.”

Do you agree with Azhar that he shouldn’t have been fired?
