The Bachelor 2012: Ruthless Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews will axe 9 girls in first episode, and says that he will invite Louise Thompson to his wedding!

Well, we know one person who will be glad to hear this news, but don’t get your hopes up if you are reading this,Louise Thompson, as despite Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews axing nine contestants in the first episode of Channel 5′s The Bachelor, he says the only part you will play at his wedding will be sat next to Caggie Dunlop as a guest!

You all know the story by now, Made in Chelsea’s stars, Spencer Mathews and Louise Thompson rekindled their romance whilst on a recent trip to Dubai, despite the fact that Louise was going out with Matthews best friend, Jamie Laing.  However when they got back, despite claiming the betrayal was justified as their relationship was the ‘real deal’, the pair split up after only a few weeks and before he had a chance to empty the sand out of his flip-flops, Spencer Matthews had signed up to take part in this years The Bachelor.

This news didn’t go down well with Thompson who has spent the best part of a fortnight telling anyone who will listen that Matthews still loves her and that they are still secretly together and how the girls taking part on the Channel 5 dating show were all strippers anyway so she had nothing to worry about.

Speaking in a New! magazine interview out this week Spencer has confirmed at least part of what Louise has claimed by admitting that in the first episode he got rid of nine of the girls instantly as “they didn’t stand a chance”, speaking of the callous decision, he told the magazine: “I’ve done them a favour!”

In the first episode, due to air next week, Spencer had the pick of 24 women which he had to reduce to nine, but according to the reality star the decision wasn’t a hard one as he went about dismissing girl after girl, “putting them out of their misery”, whilst selecting the ones that he could see as wife material to go through to the next round.

When asked if any of the girls caught his eye, Spencer said: “If we’re talking about initial attraction, some girls made more of an impact than others!”

Explaining the ease of his decision to axe the nine rejects, he added: “If they’re the ones who made less of an impact, it’s not going to work, is it?”

He then went on to discuss the aim of him taking part in the show and how he hopes that through it he can find someone to love and settle down with, saying: “I love the idea of being in love.”

When questioned about his failed romance with Louise Thompson, The Bachelor replied:  ”We were arguing and just decided to remain friends. If I do get a girlfriend and it upsets Louise, it’s a shame.”

And Caggie Dunlop?

“We’re just close friends. She’ll come to my wedding as well as Louise.”
