The Big Reunion: Rachel Stevens hints that S Club 7 could reunite!
Fans of ITV2’s The Big Reunion will of course know that a number of bands have reformed for the show, including Atomic Kitten, 5ive, Blue, Liberty X and 911…
And according to singer Rachel Stevens, S Club 7 could follow in their footsteps and reform!
Speaking to the Daily Star, Rachel said, “We met up not long ago and we talked about it and we still are talking about it.
“We are all in the same head space, talking about how special it was and we do all want to celebrate what we had…
“So it’s definitely a possibility.”
The ‘we’ she refers to are of course herself and former band mates Jon Lee, Hannah Spearritt, Bradley Mcintosh, Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole and Jo O’Meara…
However, Jo has kept a decidedly low profile since she was involved in the racism debacle which occurred while she was starring in Celebrity Big Brother alongside Shilpa Shetty, Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd.
Fans of the show may recall that a conversation between Jade, Jo and Danielle sparked a huge row when “derogatory and deemed to be racist” terms were used as they talked about Shilpa.
After the backlash, Jade – who tragically died on Mother’s Day in 2009 – donated the fee she received for taking part in the show to charity, however, Jo didn’t, stating that she needed the money to pay off her mortgage debts. She later told GMTV viewers that the scandal had pushed her to the brink of a nervous breakdown.
However, returning to the subject of a possible reunion for S Club 7, last year, band member Hannah ruled it out, telling TV Choice, “It’s cool that bands like Steps are getting back together, because it’s worked out for lots of people.
“But I don’t see it in my plans at all.”
The Mirror adds, “As a result, three members – Jo, Bradley and Paul – became S Club 3 and performed in pubs, festivals and even went to Australia, appearing on The Morning Show where guest host Dannii Minogue had a little dance with them.”
Would you like to see the band reform? For now, here’s a reminder of them in their glory days…
