I am just waiting for the next series 2009! does anybody know if there will be one soon, it is really unmissable, there is nothing that can touch it for pure on the edge of your seat entertainment.

Hello Gareth,
here’s a message from holland,pitty we bump in today the serie,episode 5.
last year we’ve seen most of the episode’s with te school for ‘ordinairy’ children….( boys and girls sing together)it was amazing and emotionel to see.
I hope some day we can bay it on dvd, for the missing parts!.

This topic could be formulated into a great t.v. series whereby young boys are introduced initially to rather informal music and voice training. Gareth’s optimistic attitude and sound knowledge contributes to their good character formation and discipline. This show is well done and very refreshing.

I am writing from Australia,and have just recently seen the last episode of the Lancaster Boys Choir. It absolutely insired me. Gareth, you are so gifted in what you do and how you go about doing it. The boys were so amazing to. We should have more uplifting shows like this on tele. Do you know where I could get my hands on the dvd? Thank you for showing how the human spirit can rise above the hurt of the world we live in. Thank you!

Congratulations Gareth! You truly are a gifted musician and teacher. I loved this series and sat in awe of your perseverence in the face of almost total rejection and fear from these boys who didn’t yet understand the gift of music you were giving them. This experience will change the lives of those who participated and those who watched. Here in Canada I have grieved the lack of funding for music in our schools. In the late 70’s I received my teacher’s training, specializing in music, but by the time I graduated there were few music teaching positions left in the public schools. Your programme has shown the desperate need and the huge benefits of offering music in the schools. Not only does it give the creative student a chance to express their musical interests but music bonds people, creates experiences of beauty and joy that nothing else can do. Bravo Gareth for your courage and openness to sharing your gifts with these terrific kids. Lives forever changed as a result!

The Choir at the Lancaster School was the best TV I had seen for ages. I have just watched it again from our recording. How can we find out if a CD has been made of “Stand by Me” What a great bloke Gareth is. i loved the whole thing. Good Luck to all of them.

i think that the programme was brillent i wish i clould sing just like that i loved it,that man was just sooo clever to get thoughs boys to sing,i bet they did’nt know they could sing like that intill the man turned their lives around!

I want ‘Boys don’t sing’ on CD too. I want to start a boys only choir at our school but know I’ll get more members if I can show them selected scenes. Am now kicking myself for not recording this wonderful series!
