THE FAMILY 8/8: Wedding Vows
This intimate portrait of family life concludes with the wedding of Jessica to her fiancé Pat. As Jessica and Pat tie the knot, Simon and Jane reflect on their own marriage. Their affection shines through, to youngest daughter Charlotte’s horror: “Can you actually stop that? Dad’s the grosser one. Stop it. Why are you doing that?”
For the first time cameras follow the Hughes’ outside the family home as everyone pulls together to put the finishing touches to the stunning marquee. When Simon sees Jessica for the first time he is moved to tears: “You look like a film star.”
