The Saturdays reveal their upset over Girls Aloud split, with Rochelle Humes remarking, “It’s the end of an era!”
As we reported last week, fans of Girls Aloud – who of course reformed for about three minutes last year – were upset to hear that following their hugely successful tour, the band announced that they were splitting for good.
Since then, it’s been reported that the split was so that the band’s members could concentrate on other interests – and on becoming mums – however, many have, rightly or wrongly, been pointing the finger at Cheryl Cole, claiming that she “forced” the parting of the ways.
However, what the truth is we may never know, but as mentioned, many fans were upset at the news, and today it’s been revealed that girl group The Saturdays were also saddened to hear about it.
Orange’s entertainment website reports that band member Rochelle Humes – who is of course married to JLS singer Marvin; the couple are expecting their first child later this year – said, “It’s the end of an era…
“I went to see them on the Ten tour and I’m like, ‘Why are you splitting up?’
“It was such a good show.”
Her band mate Vanessa White added, “It’s so sad,” before remarking that The Saturdays’ fans need have any fears that they’ll split.
She said, “I feel like we’ve got loads left.”
