The Voice UK stars learn of cancelled gigs on Twitter!

It is of course no secret that The Voice UK tour is proving about as popular as pubic lice, and organisers have failed to sell out even one venue.

Subsequently, four scheduled gigs have been scrapped entirely, and one might expect that The Voice UK finalists who are to perform might have at least had a memo from the powers that be about the cancellations, but apparently they didn’t and only learned of the news via fans on Twitter!

Had the gigs gone ahead as originally planned in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Aberdeen, stars such as Leanne Mitchell – who of course won the show – would have been playing to literally tens of people…

Singer Ruth Brown recently tweeted, “I’m hearing that the voice tour is cancelled! I’m hearing what’s goin on from u guys.”

She added, “Wow well that’s no surprise to be honest.”

The live tour, which also stars finalists Bo Bruce, Vince Kidd, Becky Hill, Max Milner, Jaz Ellington and Tyler James, begins at Bournemouth International Centre on September 12.

Tickets are, unsurprisingly, still on sale for other dates, but as mentioned not one venue has sold out so insiders are warning that more shows could be cancelled.

And given that viewing figures for The Voice fell week on week, I can’t say this news comes as kind of a shock.

Have you booked to watch the stars sing live on the tour?
