TOWIE: Charlie, Debbie, Lydia and Bobby crack a joke for Text Santa!

As if their live episode wasn’t enough charity work to get us all cringing till Easter, The Only Way Is Essex crew have treated us to another Christmas fundraising mission, telling jokes for this year’s Text Santa!

Text Santa is a charity initiative set up in 2011 by ITV to support nine UK charities during the Christmas period. The appeal to the public is to donate money mainly via text donation and profits from merchandise.

The first telethon first aired last Christmas, hosted by Phillip Schofield, Christine Bleakley, Holly Willoughby and Ant & Dec, with Paddy McGuinness joining them to co-present the 2012 telethon.

And this year TOWIE’s Charlie King, Bobby Norris and Debbie and Lydia Bright have come together with Jeff Brazier, Stacey Solomon and Paul O’Grady to tell their best Christmas Cracker jokes in a celebrity Advent Calendar to help raise funds for Together For Short Lives – To find out more about the charity, or donate, visit the ITV website here.

Also taking part in this year’s festive charity event are last year’s X Factor winners, Little Mix, Lorraine Kelly and Coronation Street legend Liz Dawson (Vera Duckworth) who are coming together for a Coronation Street mini-episode due to air later this month.

Whilst Loose Women Sherrie Hewson, Andrea Mclean, Lisa Maxwell and Carol McGiffin are due to perform their rendition of Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree for the X Factor judges!

Text Santa can be seen on Friday 21st December on ITV1/ITV1 HD.
