With pretty much the entire nation eagerly awaiting the start of the new series of The Only Way Is Essex on Sunday, one question is firmly on everyone’s mind, are Gemma and Arg together or not?

Fans of the hit ITV2 show would have seen the two larger than life character kissing for the first time at the end of the last series and got their hopes up, only to be totally dashed by their very public display of indifference towards each other during the summer special, The Only Way Is Marbs, a few weeks later.

However, since the cameras stopped rolling their have been several stories leaked about the pair, with the opinion meter sticking firmly in the love corner of the scales, and today Gemma Collins has revealed all to The Sun newspaper about her relationship with the Dean Martin wanna-be, as well as a few show secrets thrown in for good measure!

Speaking to the publication about her current state of mind, the busty blonde commented:  ”I feel really happy at the moment. I’m exercising loads, not to be stick thin but just to feel better! I was basically a normal girl next door but due to heartache I was a comfort eater. With Towie and a few nasty comments, I had a wake-up call and became more aware of myself.

On the subject of fame the reality star  admitted:  ”I don’t get wrapped in the hype. I still find it hilarious when I’m at a red carpet event and the papps start shouting: “Gemma!” It absolutely makes me wet myself.

“You have to put things into perspective. We’re reality Essex people. We aren’t Posh and Becks or Madonna. We have to be realistic. My feet are firmly on the ground.”

Of course the subject quickly turned to the status of her and Arg, and the authenticity of their relationship, to which she coyly responded:  ”James and I have just been to Turkey together so watch this space.

“Everything you see is basically captured on Towie. Although I did have a row with my dad once and we chucked broccoli at each other.”

The TOWIE star then went on to discuss her naked-house-roaming antics, commenting: ”I’m always getting dressed up for different events so when I’m in my own territory, I like to let it all hang out and shake what your mama gave you.”

The new series of The Only Way Is Essex begins on Sunday at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
