TOWIE: Lauren Goodger happier after leaving reality show
The star, who was given the boot from TV skating contest Dancing On Ice on Sunday, insists she is happy she appeared on TOWIE as it helped her launch a television career but is pleased it is now in her past.
She told new! magazine: “I do feel a lot happier I’m out of the show. However much I respect it – because it’s got me where I am today – I can now relive my life and do positive things.”
And the businesswoman admits she preferred taking part in Dancing On Ice to her time on TOWIE as she often played up to a character which did not portray her real personality on the ITV2 reality show.
When asked if she missed the series, she said: “I can’t say I do, because my time’s been taken up by ‘DOI’, so I don’t really think about it. And this is more fun.
“It’s completely different; I’m not pretending to be someone I’m not. I’m showing my real personality.”
The star also opened up about her former relationship with ex-boyfriend Mark Wright admitting the pair are no longer in touch despite dating on and off for 10 years.
Lauren said: “I don’t speak to Mark any more. Not at all.”
