Oh, it was bound to happen, but The Only Way Is Essex star, Lucy Mecklenburgh has taken back her ex, Mario Falcone, despite the recent cheating allegations against him, the Sun Newspaper reports.
Fans of the hit ITV2 reality show will know how, during the new series premier, Lucy was confronted by one of the new Sugar Hut Hunnies claiming to have ‘done stuff’ with notorious lothario, Mario, whilst out in Manchester last September.
Lucy seemed to be adamant that this time she had well and truly had enough of Mario’s womanising ways and vowed that she was moving out of their flat and buying her own house.
No one really believed her but, as the second episode of the show hit our screens we were all surprised to see that she was sticking to her guns leaving a devastated Mario weeping on his mother’s shoulder.
However, it would seem that Lucy’s willpower barely lasted a fortnight as, reports today suggest, she has now taken him back yet again.
According to the Sun Lucy and Mario were spotted kissing at The Plough Pub in Essex on Saturday night where they were celebrating Lucy’s father’s 50th birthday with other members of her family.
An onlooker told the paper: “They are definitely back together, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other and kissed while in the restaurant.”
We wonder if this means that Lucy, who has been staying with co-star Sam Faiers ever since Amy Broadbent told her about her fling with Mario, will be returning to the flat she once shared with him.
An insider said after the allegation was made: “Lucy is so upset about this.
“Even though her and Mario have had their ups and downs, she thought they were behind them and they had a future together.
“As soon as she heard, she went to Sam Faiers’ house and hasn’t gone home since.”
Meanwhile, some of Lucy and Mario’s co-stars were left with egg on their faces, quite literally, after fans pelted them with eggs as they arrived with the filming crew to party at Luxe in Loughton.
Bobby Norris, Lauren Pope and Chloe Simms managed to dodge the flying eggs and made it inside unscathed, but a camera man was hit by a stray egg and his equipment spattered by the explosion.
A source told the publication: “These drinkers were obviously not too impressed by the pampered stars filming on their turf and they let them know about it by chucking eggs at them.
“TOWIE has polarised opinion in Essex, with a lot of people not liking how it represents the county.”
