Wow, it really is starting to feel like The Only Way Is Essex stars, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone have declared war on the entire world from behind their twitter screens!
Fans of the hit ITV2 reality show will know how Lucy and Mario open fired on show producers via Twitter last week after an episode of TOWIE, branding them liars and claiming that other cast members were being made to lie in order to cause more drama in their relationship to up viewing figures.
After this outburst it was widely reported that the couple, who called off their engagement last year after several trust issues were brought to light, were on the verge of quitting in a pre-emptive strike fearing that they were about to be sacked for the trouble their rants on the social networking site had caused.
The outcome of this situation still remains unknown, but one thing is definite – neither of them featured in Wednesday night’s episode!
Anyway, despite all the drama their trigger happy fingers have already caused, Lucy and Mario have, yet again, been voicing their opinions of TOWIE very loudly – this time aimed at show original cast member, James Argent.
James ‘Arg’ Argent took to the comedy stage during Wednesday night episode of the show to try his hand at stand up. He, eventually, had to be shooed off stage having burst into hysterical and uncontrollable laughter at his own joke, but before this time, when only dogs could hear him, he had managed to get in a joke about Lucy and Mario.
In an obvious dig at the recent Twitter war that his co-stars were embroiled in with show producers, Arg made a crack about them buying each Twitter followers for Valentine’s Day.
The irony of this remark, which was quite funny for Arg we have to say, went way over Lucy and Mario’s heads, and before you could say ‘tweet’ they had hit back at the Dean Martin wannabe on the very site he had just ridiculed them over.
Mario was first to hit back at Arg, tweeting to his followers: “Find it funny how larg has stuff to say when I am not there to defend myself…. Strange… I have not ‘bought’ any twitter followers Neither has Lucy….”
And Lucy added: “I can confirm me & @Mario_Falcone have never bought Twitter followers! Is that actually possible?! Unfortunately mario only got an iPod [for Valentine’s Day’]!”
Arg (wish we had thought of Large Arg before Mario did) then hit back at the pair, tweeting to his followers (who we assume Gemma Collins bought for him):
“A roasting is a form of comedy where you take the mick out of people and tell jokes.”
As well as adding that they should “be a good sport and take it on the chin” – “#Banter”.
