We reported earlier this week how the relationship between The Only Way Is Essex stars Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone was in trouble, and in typical reality TV damage control style, Lucy has responded to the claims!

The first reports of thunder storms in paradise came a few days ago after it was revealed that Mecklenburgh was not back to fully trusting her fiancée, Falcone, after his publicised text affairs with just about the entire female population of Essex.

Next came the reports that several girls had come out to claim affairs with Falcone, with one even alleging her relationship with Falcone was still strong up untill 6 weeks before he proposed to Mecklenburgh,onboard a luxury yacht whilst the pair filmed the TOWIE summer special, The Only Way Is Marbs.

Mecklenburgh began this game of cheating ping-pong back at the beginning of their relationship when it was revealed that she had slept with former TOWIE co-star, Mark Wright behind both Falcone’s back, and Wright’s fiancée, Lauren Goodger, splitting both couples up.

Whilst the split between Wright and Goodger remained permanent, Mecklenburgh and Falcone reconciled and made it very clear that their relationship was for keeps.  However, it wasn’t long before curiosity got the better of Lucy and she went-a-snooping through Mario’s laptop and discovered that he had been involved in ‘textual’ relations with several other women, including some of her friends, and co-stars.

Despite this the couple remained united (bought a dog and everything) and celebrated their love for one another with the flamboyant engagement which just happened to be caught on camera in Marbella.

Since then women have been coming out of the woodwork like it was on fire claiming to have been romantically linked to Mario, with the most recent claiming to have been begged to attend ‘naughtiness’ with the tailor just six weeks before he proposed to swim-wear model, Lucy.

However, in typical TOWIE fashion, Mecklenburgh has hit out against this girls allegations, according to todays Sun newspaper, taking to social networking site, Twitter, to blast: ”I hope the girl has made the most of her 5minutes & the £££ she got! ‘IF’ it was true it’s not like she wouldn’t no I existed! #LyingB***h!”

Falcone seconded this by tweeting from his own account to respond to a fan who had questioned his alleged mishap:”@georgiaamie_x don’t believe everything you read.”

The allegations emerged in this week’s Now magazine, where the woman involved,called Jade, from Rotherham who happens to look a lot like Lucy,  reportedly told Now: “‘I feel so sorry for her. He’s making a mug of her.

“I’d be devastated if my fiancé did that. He can’t love her.

“I’ve been getting messages from other girls saying he’s been in touch with them, too. He’s a rat. Lucy can do far better.”

The new series of The Only Way Is Essex begins this Sunday at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
