TOWIE: Lydia Bright and Tom Kilbey crowned prom king and queen by Arg, Charlie King, Gemma Collins & Bobby Norris fight again!

Last night saw the series finale of The Only Way Is Essex, and for those of you, like us, who have already gone into deep mourning over the lack of Reem on the telly box on Sunday and Wednesday nights now, we thought we would share some of highlights of Lucy Mecklenbugh’s American prom themed 21st birthday party.

At any good prom, there has to be a King and Queen crowned, and in what could quite possibly be the most awkward moment of the series, last night’s prom royalty were announced as Lydia Bright and Tom Kilbey, by Lydia’s ex, James Argent!

The couple had been up against every other show couple,  Lucy and her fiancée Mario Falcone, Sam Faiers and Joey Essex, Jessica Wright and her boyfriend Ricky Rayment and last but not least, Arg and Gemma Collins.

Some may say that Karma was in attendance, as Arg decided to single out Tom Pearce in a personal attack before announcing the winners, saying:

“Sorry it would have been Tom P but Lauren G dumped you last week in the pub,” he said laughing, before announcing:

“We have the moment you’ve all been waiting for,”

His face after opening the envelope and seeing his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend listed as the winners was one of those moments that Lydia is bound to use to cheer herself up for many years to come.  The new prom queen excitedly snatched the mic from her ex and thanked the crowd for voting for them:

“Thanks for voting us,’ she said to the crowd. ‘I wanna say a big happy birthday to our little Luce, we love you.”

This must have come as a big blow to Arg, who had spent some of the evening confessing to Lauren Goodger that he was still in love with his ex, despite now being with Gemma.

“We both know we’ve lost the love of our lives,’ Lauren said to him, before adding: ‘You still love Lydia don’t you?”

Elsewhere at the party, there was another almighty bust up with Charlie King, Gemma Collins and Bobby Norris!

Gemma approached her ex-boyfriend, Charlie, outside and promised him that she wasn’t going to shout because she’d almost lost her voice.

Bringing up the subject of Charlie and Bobby in Marbella, where she claims that Bobby told her things had gotten ‘touchy feely’ between him and Charlie, Gemma said:

“The reason I shout is because I know I’m right. I’m not lying,”

“To be honest Gem, I don’t know what to think,’”Charlie replied.

Bobby then decided to join in on the conversation where he announced: “Someone here is lying. Firstly I’ve got no reason to lie.”

To which Gemma quickly responded with: “You have insinuated that something sexual went on.”

“Nothing has ever gone on with me and Bobby,” Charlie interjected. “He has got no reason to lie. In my heart of hearts I believe bobby.”

Bobby then walked off whilst Gemma continued to argue, despite saying she forgave him, to which Bobby replied as a parting comment:

“I hope you get that BAFTA,’ he told her, before shouting: ‘Get on your f***ing broomstick and fly on back to Chigwell!”
