TOWIE: Lydia loses it with Arg, Mario calls off his engagement to Lucy and McFly’s Tom Fletcher makes a cameo!
So last night saw another jam-packed episode of The Only Way Is Essex, and what an episode it was!
It looked rather dubious at the start, with the focus on Kirk and Joey playing a rather poor game of golf whilst Kirk declared he wants to find the love of his life, commenting: “I’ve had enough of messing around with girls, you know what I mean? I like naturally pretty girls.”
However, things got better when the subject of Danni and Charlie came up. Danni confided in Lauren Pope about last week’s dumping controversy, where Lauren did point out it was a tad strange that she had ended up being dumped by someone she didn’t even want to go out with in the first place, to which Danni replied: “I don’t know. Now it’s got to the point where I got dumped.”
Meanwhile, Charlie chews Lil Chris’ ear off about the whole situation, trying to justify the fact that he dropped Danni like a hot potato when she said she wasn’t about to jump in to bed with him!
Elsewhere, still distraught over Sunday’s cardi ripping incident, Lydia and Tom decide the best way to stop Arg and his jealous antics would be to confront him. Lydia goes over to his house and has it out with him on the doorstep, in typical Essex style, where she tells him point blank she, and her family, hate him and never to bother any of them again. The conversation went a little something like this:
Lydia said: “I’ve come to you because I feel like things have got too far. I let go 10 months ago. I’ve let so many things go.
“If you get a reaction you think that’s caring. I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I want to marry Tom and be with him for the rest of my life, but it’s you that are still there!”
Arg said: “First of all when I sent that text, I couldn’t believe I sent it. The text must’ve given you some satisfaction.”
She added: “You are causing trouble, the cheek of it. You are standing here causing problems, because you’re not over it. You infuriate me Arg. I actually hate you, my family hate you, they are not your family anymore so just leave us alone!
“You are no longer in my life, so leave me, my boyfriend and my family alone. You make one more rude remark to my boyfriend then that’s it, I am going to go mad. I have nothing more to say.” Before storming off back to the car.
In another part of Essex, it was fashion week, and Gemma and Bobby (who are BFFs again now) put the world to rights over their recent relationship dramas, with Gemma saying: “I’ve moved on from Arg. If I can do it, you can do it too.”
To which Bobby replied: “I’m taking your advice. I’m like Cher. Its Bobby b***h, He’s back!” (we weren’t aware he had left, Bobby!)
However, it seems that despite being over him, Gemma is still harbouring a few of Arg’s valuable to ransom, including the poxy Kenny award (which actually looks more cheap than a Jim’ll Fix it medallion) that he won in drama school a million years ago. Discussing the seriousness of the situation with the boys, Arg and Joey hatch a plan to get the now notorious star back from wicked witch Gemma.
Using Joey’s girlfriend, Sam, as a decoy, he gate-crashes a girl’s night in, where after excusing himself to use the toilet, he is caught by the gang of women hunting for ‘Kenny’ (and riffling through Gemma’s underwear) in order to throw it out the window to the waiting car concealing Arg and Kirk.
Gemma is very amused at the plot, and simply gives him the award (but not the PlayStation he was meant to fetch too) which Joey shoves up his jumper and legs it out the door to the waiting car.
Mario decides to visit his new brother-in-law, who happens to be McFly’s Tom Fletcher, for some relationship advice. He isn’t happy about Lucy repeatedly changing the subject whenever their wedding is mentioned, or the fact that she hasn’t started making any plans for the big day.
Not just this, but as we all know, Lucy has been apprehensive of tying the knot to Mario based on the fact that she is only 21 (Lucy, if we know you have been saying it, then so will he!) and, at the advice of Tom, decides to confront her about it that night with Mario saying: “I’m like should we get married in Italy? She just doesn’t want know. She’s gone blonde and she’s just changing. She always says there’s a pressure on us to get married!”
With Tom cheekily suggesting: “The only way to resolve it is to grow some balls and talk to her!”
Mario replied: “It’s always like I’m scared to ask as I don’t know what I’m going to hear.”
At a restaurant, he brings up the subject, saying to his fiancée: “It seems you’re more negative about the wedding than positive. It makes me question whether you want to marry me or not.”
To which Lucy replied: “You know my opinions. As soon as someone asks me about the wedding I change the subject. I’m 21-years-old Mario.”
To which Mario responded with: “If that’s what you want, I won’t get married”
Lucy added: “The reason I’m not ready. Age is one and I don’t 100% trust you at the moment and my gut instinct just doesn’t feel right.”
This caused Mario to say he was ‘done’ before storming out of the restaurant, leaving Lucy muttering under her breath how it was great that he had laid all this on her when it was him who had been texting other girls again – we can’t wait to see how this unfolds!!!
The Only Way Is Essex can be seen Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
