TOWIE: Mario Falcone calls Lucy Mecklenburgh a ‘diva’ but she insists they are happier than ever!

Whilst we all watched The Only Way Is Essex’s Lucy Mecklenburgh celebrate her birthday on Wednesday night’s series finale in an over the top American prom themed event on the hit ITV2 reality show, her actual birthday was on Saturday and her fiancée, co-star Mario Falcone, treated her to a special birthday dinner on Friday night.

Whilst the pair seemed to be enjoying themselves, Mario still saw it necessary to take to social networking site, Twitter, to call his wife-to-be a diva!

Falcone, who had taken Lucy to eat at a posh London restaurant, tweeted to fans when the brunette reality star had made a request for fresh garlic mayonnaise, saying: “Didn’t realise I was marrying a diva! @lucy_meck has just made the restaurant run around making her fresh garlic mayonnaise!!!”

The following morning, the youngest member of the TOWIE cast, Mecklenburgh, took to the site also to tweet: “Iv been sooooo spoilt!!!!!!! @Mario_Falcone got me a Cartier watch (my 1st watch!) & a trip to Cannes … Xxx”

Ahh, so it would seem that the pair are “really strong” and as happy as ever, like Mecklenburgh keeps telling everyone, despite all the recent rumours both on and off screen that Falcone had been cheating on her.

Speaking to The Press Association last week the brunette, who has just teamed up with Foxy Bingo to launch a new fake tan called Fur Real, said:

“Obviously there were things said and I thought there was proof so I was distraught, but then when we found out there was nothing in it, we were fine. I never believed it anyway.

“The thing is, I do trust Mario and that’s what people need to understand. I trust him, so leave it alone basically.”

She added: “Me and Mario are really strong and really happy at the moment, so it’s all fine.”

Lucy, who became engaged to Falcone during the TOWIE summer special, The Only Way Is Marbs, went on to talk about her wedding plans:

“It’s my 21st birthday on Friday so I’ve been planning a big party for that, so that’s what I’ve been focusing on right now. I’ve said once that’s done, we’ll start looking at wedding plans, which I’m really excited for,

“Mario thinks I’ll be a bridezilla! I’m quite an organised person so I don’t think that’ll be a problem, but I probably will be a bridezilla towards the end. I’ll probably just be a bit nervous.”
