TOWIE: Mark Wright dismisses Lauren Goodger and her claims they still love each other!

Sucks to be Lauren Goodger at this time (or anytime for that matter), as after claiming earlier in the week that she and former fiancée and former The Only way Is Essex co-star, Mark Wright, were still in love with each other (read original article here), Wright has hit back at the claims saying “that girl is part of my past”.

Salon owner, Goodger, made headlines this week after claiming the reason that ex Wright had publicly defended her over the twitter abuse she has been receiving was down to the fact that the Mark Wrights Hollyowod Nights star was still harbouring deep feelings for her.

This did make us chuckle as on the same day, the same report defending her in fact, Mark had definitely said that whilst he felt sorry for her, the two of them were not friends but that he wished her all the best.

Then came the reports of the pair of them enjoying a night out at the same club on the night that Goodger had ditched a charity appearance at a casino, sparking rumours that the wannabe-diva really was clutching at straws hoping for a reconciliation, or a headline or two.

Goodger has been desperately trying to rebuild her image since a recent tantrum whilst filming the show that made her ‘famous’ resulted in her being temporarily (more is the pity) suspended from work after she demanded more respect as the shows main star otherwise she and her sister would be off to MTV to star in a UK version of the Kardashian’s (and there was us thinking there could be nothing worse than the original, who knew!).

So, when Wright defended her it gave her the amazing idea that he still loved her and so she followed him round town telling anyone who would listen how the two would always love each other, behaviour that would be described as stalker-like if it came from your average Joe Bloggs (or One Direction fan).

However, reports in Entertainmentwise have today quoted Wright absolutely dismissing these claims.

The former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star commented that Goodger is “part of my past” and that everyone (including Goodger we imagine) should move on from the  ’Mark & Lauren’ saga.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Wright said of the incident at the nightclub: ”I didn’t see her inside the club. We were at the same club, but there was 1,200 other people in there.

“Lauren is part of my past. I split up with her in August 2011, people need to realise that.”

Wright, who is currently dating US Voleyball player, Chelsea Rashoff, went on to say: ”People will still tag us together and I understand that. We were together a long time. I just wish her all the best and I have no hard feelings for that girl.”

Quite a different account to Lauren’s new! magazine interview in which she replied when asked if they were still in touch:

“Yeah, up and down. It’s difficult because we’ve still got a lot of feelings for each other, but it’s just not right.”

“At the minute, I’m going forward. If we were together, I don’t think we’d be able to do the things we want to do,” she said. “Would he have gone off and done his show? No, he wouldn’t – it would probably have been me and him doing a show.”

Lauren also added: “Everything happens for a reason. Whatever’s meant to be will be.”

LOL

I hate to say this but I think Mark didn’t do her any favours by telling her in the break up that he’ll always love her. He should have been cruel to be kind by throwing a drink in her face or spitting on her or something
