TOWIE: McFly’s Tom Fletcher insists that last weeks cameo was a one off!

Fans of The Only Way Is Essex were treated to a cameo appearance from McFly’s Tom Fletcher on Wednesday night, but unfortunately he has come out and said that it was strictly a one off!

Tom Fletcher, as fans will know, is the new brother-in-law of TOWIE favourite, Mario Falcone, and was seen on Wednesday giving him advice about his relationship with Lucy Mecklenburgh.

The advice didn’t work out too well though….

Mariowent to Tom Fletcher complaining about how his fiancée, Lucy, was continually avoiding the subject of their wedding, and repeatedly telling her girlfriends how she felt too young to tie the knot, saying:

“She’s winding me up, and it keeps playing on my mind,” he said. “She’s not getting excited about the wedding at all.

“She’s now changed her hair colour, and it’s like she is changing. She doesn’t care about the wedding.”

Tom responded: “The only way to really resolve it is for you to grow some balls and talk to her.”

Tom’s advice to Mario was to grow a pair and tackle the situation head on, which Mario did that evening, confronting Lucy over a romantic meal in a restaurant.

However, Mario did not get the answer he was hoping for, and the evening ended badly with Lucy telling him she did not trust him (as well as revealing that he had been texting other girls again) and Mario storming out, leaving her alone with the bill!

Anyway, whilst we all sat hoping that Tom’s cameo might mean the beginning of a full time role for the hugely successful singer, he has insisted that it was a one off as he doesn’t feel he made much of an impact (we think Lucy might disagree).

When asked by Entertainmentwise in a recent interview as to whether he would return to the show, Tom replied:

“No I don’t think so,” he laughed. “I don’t think I really made an impact on the show, to be honest!”

He added: “It was just a one off thing, Mario needed some advice… We texted each other last night, I haven’t seen him since.

“I’m not sure he’ll take my advice again though, it didn’t really end up too good for him.”

The Only Way Is Essex can be seen Sunday and Wednesday nights at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
