Unlucky-in-love TOWIE star, Gemma Collins, has been dumped by new boyfriend, Charlie King, after finding saucy texts to Ricky Rayment.

Fans of ITV2 hit reality show, The Only Way Is Essex, have seen the blossoming romance between Gemma Collins and Charlie King unfold on our screens from the start of the new series of TOWIE, but we were also made very aware that when the camera’s went off, their clothes stayed on, causing doubt and frustration for the larger-than-life Essex  beauty.

Whilst we all held our breaths and hoped that Miss Collins, whose mum Joan joined the cast for the current series, had finally found her Prince Charming, but alas thanks to the over-active texting fingers of notorious Lothario, Ricky Rayment, the relationship has come to a premature and abrupt end.

Since joining the cast of TOWIE last series, Ricky has systematically worked his way through the entire female cast of the Essex based reality show, sending texts and stringing along up to four at a time in a bid to take over the reigns of pervious bad boy, Mario.

In last nights episode, viewers saw Gemma revealing Ricky as her secret texter, saying things such as : “I’ve got a bit of a wild side if you have?”.

However, Ricky, who found a moral compass at last, confronted the busty blonde and told her it had to stop.  Unfortunately for Gemma, Charlie had found out (who would have thought he would be watching?) and has told Gemma that they can no longer be together.

Friends of the star had always had their reservations about the romance, with Gemma revealing late in series four that she suspected her new Romeo of being gay, not helped by his insistence that they rein-act a scene from his favourite film, Titanic, and since the revelation that they had yet to consummate the relationship, tongues began to wag even more.

A source said: “Gemma has admitted there was not much physical attraction between them, while Charlie was getting increasingly narked about Ricky.  It’s a shame — they were being set up as the hot new couple.”
